Computer & Accessories

🖲️ 2023 Apple Mac Mini M2 Pro 12 Core, 32 GB, 500GB SSD

The Mac Mini was a logical upgrade from my 2019 MacBook Pro. Streaming, recording and editing video is no problem on this beast!

🔌 Satechi USB-C Stand & Hub for Mac Mini (with SSD)

Underneath the Mac Mini I have a perfectly-engineered docking station for more ports, as well as an SSD (for backups).

🖥️ Samsung SyncMaster C43J890DKU 43" Ultrawide

I use a curved ultrawide as my main monitor as it allows me to view lots of things without a break in immersion.

🖥️ HP Compaq LA2306x LED Backlit LCD-Monitor

An old relic from my parents, it's a useful third monitor that I have mounted vertically.

🖥️ AOC U34G3XM 34" Ultrawide

It's quite unusual to have such a wide monitor in vertical orientation, but it's very useful for me to have an overview on various communication tools (i.e. Slack, Discord, Telegram etc.).

🖥️ Godox GM55 Camera monitor

Connected to my main camera, so that I can see what my camera sees (since the flip screen is to tiny). Useful for knowing if I am in focus, if brightness is peaking anywhere, etc.

🖊️ Apple iPad 9th Gen

As an additional screen for work and for drawing on my stream I have this standard iPad. It's especially useful for having Discord running during the day when hanging out in co-working channels as the call doesn't occupy any of my audio/video devices on my Mac Mini!

Input Devices

🎤 Godox VDS-M2 Shotgun Microphone

After using a "standard" USB condenser microphone on a mic arm, I got tired of it being in the way when typing and on calls, so I changed to a shotgun microphone mounted above my desk.

🎤 Rode Wireless GO II Microphone

For more "active" situations where I am not at my desk or filming with guests, I have also an additional lav mic that is really great.

⌨️ Logitech MX Keys for Mac

Logitech makes some of the most affordable gear. I've had this keyboard for many years and the weight makes it nice to type on. The wireless charge has started to dwindle to a couple days but it's USB-C so can be charged easily.

🖱️ Logitech MX Master 3

This mouse is wildly popular for a reason - it's just so good! I am now on my third or fourth Logitech MX mouse and I would probably only consider the vertical one at this point if I was to change.

📷 Canon R6 (mirrorless)

I've had Canon cameras for a very long time and this is my third camera body in around 12 years, but also my first mirrorless. I power the camera with a "dummy" DC battery plugged into the wall so that it doesn't turn off and have it plugged into a camera monitor.

📷 Canon EF 40mm f/2.8 STM

While I own quite a few lenses, I mainly use this "pancake" lens for at the desk (together with an RF adapter). The field of view is relatively narrow, which allows me to easily place things out of view (like the microphone).

📥 Elgato Prompter

I recently acquired this, which allows me to have a screen in front of my camera. I use it for a lot of video calls as it allows me to make better eye contact and on stream for reading chat messages!

📷 Logitech Brio 4k

As a backup camera (currently in the desk overview position) I use my old trusty webcam. It has decent exposure and lighting but the autofocus can be quite troublesome. I do apply some filters to make it look a little better and that's more than sufficient for its purpose!

🔢 Elgato Stream Deck (MK1)

Enough has been written about these amazing macropads that I don't need to say much! For automating switching scenes while live, triggering sounds or changing lights and even when editing in Davinci Resolve, this handy little LED-keypad is really neat.

🔤 Elgato Stream Deck Plus

In addition to the Stream Deck, I also have a newer model that also has 4 dials, which enables a different level of control.

Desk & Chair

💼 Yaasa Desk Pro 2 - 160x80cm black/black

Courtesy of Yaasa, I received a Desk Pro 2 to build live on stream! I've had the desk for several months now and it's the perfect desk for me. As a sit-stand desk it moves smoothly and quickly and when extended it's still stable enough to not shake my entire setup!

💺 Yaasa Chair "The Dynamic" - Classic White

Although it was not part of the original sponsoring package, I also received this wonderful chair from Yaasa! I had previously had a "gamer" style chair and it interfered with my background too much. The quality of the chair cushion and mechanism are incredible for the price. I added smoother wheels for hardwood floors and now roll around like a boss.

Lighting & Accessories

💡 Philips Hue Amaranth Lights

In order to light up my background, I use a series of three Hue lights (that's right, it's not a greenscreen). They deliver 4000+ lumens of light!

🔦 Elgato Key Light Air

These lights (2x) are for lighting up me in front of the camera. They can be controlled wirelessly which makes setting them up and changing the settings really easy. Obviously they pair really well with the Elgato Stream Deck but you can also use their free mobile & desktop apps to adjust them too.

🔊 Samsung S61 Soundbar

Instead of having speakers on my desk (no space), I have a wireless soundbar above my desk, attached to my pegboards. The sound really fills the room!

🟩 Elgato Green Screen

For jokes or other situations where it's practical, I also have a physical green screen from Elgato. You won't see it though 😉
